Epidermoid cyst of pineal region entending to the posterior 3rd ventricle

Abstract
|
|
|
Intracranial epidermoid cysts are rare, consisting of 0.2%6-1/% of all intracranial tumors and are frequently called cholesteatoma or pearly tumor.
The favorite sites are the C -P angle, parapituitary, diploe, cerebellum and rarely the cere.bral hemisphere, lateral ventricle and intraspinal region. Epidermcid cysts of 3rd ventricle or pineal region are extremely rare and only a few cases have been reported in the¢¥ literature.
The authors have reviewed the literature and report the surgical removal of d case of epidermoid cyst which. had developed in the- pineal region extending to -the posterior 3rd ventricle.
